I received an email stating my affiliate link was cancelled - what now?

What happens when your affiliate link has been cancelled

Your affiliate link can be cancelled for many reasons. The most popular reasons are:

  1. You cancelled an affiliate link yourself from the My Links tab
  2. A merchant no longer wants you to use that link and they are creating a new link for you
  3. A merchant is leaving Avelon and as such, all their links are being cancelled
For any of these scenarios, you should remove your affiliate link from promotional activity. Clicks will still be tracked, but you will not be rewarded with any sales as no tracking will take place on that link.

Should I remove that link from promotional activity?

Yes – you should remove your affiliate link from promotional activity.

Clicks will still be tracked, but you will not be rewarded with any sales as no tracking will take place on that link.

Can I create a new link?

If the merchant has not removed you from their program but just cancelled your affiliate link, then you can create a new affiliate link right away.

To create a new affiliate link, go to:

  1. My Retailers
  2. Click the yellow Generate Link button next to the program you’d like to create a link for
  3. Paste the URL into the URL box
  4. Name the link
  5. Press Generate

Once the link has been generated, it will be available to copy. It will also be saved in your My Links tab.
