How often do commission payments get made?

Commission payments are made in billing cycles. They are always made on the 15th of every month for 2-months prior. In this guide, we’ll cover when your commission will be in your bank account, what your wallet is and what can affect your affiliate commission earnings.

In this guide, we'll cover the below topics:

When do commissions get paid?

Your earnings are paid into your designated bank account on the 15th of the month for two months prior.

This means if you earned £20.00 in January, then you will receive that payment on the 15th March.

An example of this is below:

  1. Affiliate earns a commission of £20.00 in January
  2. Merchant gets the next 30-days to query any commissions (the query time)
  3. Affiliate wallet gets updated on 5th March
  4. Affiliate gets paid £20.00 on 15th March

The ‘query time’ allows the merchant to adjust commission based on returns or cancellations.

Once the ‘query time’ has passed, the commission is assigned to your wallet. This is classed as your confirmed commission.

Your wallet is what holds your confirmed commission. It can be found here.

What is my wallet?

Your wallet holds all of your confirmed commission and is updated on the 5th of the month. It does not show your current month or previous months commission. It only shows commission that has been confirmed.

An example of this is below:

  1. Affiliate earns £20.00 in January
  2. Affiliate wallet updates with £20.00 commission on 5th March
Funds that are within your wallet are confirmed and if your wallet is above £20.00 – it will be paid on 15th of that month.

Why doesn't my wallet show my current month's earnings?

Your wallet is designed to hold confirmed commissions. Confirmed commissions are updated on the 5th of the month – 5-weeks after the end of the current month.

An example of this is below:

  1. Affiliate earns £100.00 in June
  2. Merchant gets from 1st July – 1st August to query any commissions
  3. Your wallet updates with your confirmed commission on 5th August
  4. You get paid into your bank account on 15th August

This period is for merchants to report any refunds/cancellations on your sales and is called the reconciliation period

What does a cancelled sale mean in Sales Explorer?

A cancelled sale means a Merchant has reported your sale as refunded/returned/cancelled. You will not earn a commission for this sale and it will not appear in your Dashboard any more – but it will still appear in your Sales Explorer as a zero rated sale.

If you’d like to view what this sale was for, click Details. This will drop down into an expanded sale state and you can view the products that were originally purchased and the traffic/discount code use.

Is there a minimum commission payout?

Yes – there is a minimum commission payout of £20.00. This is called the payment threshold.

You can view your progress via the blue progress bar in your wallet.

Please be aware that once you confirm you want an early payout, you cannot cancel your request.

How long do commission payouts take to arrive in my bank account?

Commission payment speed is dependent on your bank – but the usual payment time is 2-3 working days from the day the payment transfer has started.

If you are based inside the European Union, then your payment speed is most commonly immediate – but can take up to 3-4 working days for the first payout.

If you are based outside of the European Union, then your payment speed is most likely 3-4 working days.
