Affiliate quick onboarding guide

If you’ve just joined Avelon as an affiliate, this quick guide and selection of videos will guide you through how to get set up, sync your bank account, generate affiliate links and much more.

1. Sign into your Account

Click Sign in on the top right hand corner of the Avelon website. You’ll be prompted to enter the email address and password you used when you signed up.

If you have not confirmed your email via clicking ‘confirm account’ on an email from us, you will not be able to sign in. 

Please find the email from hello@avelonetwork.com and confirm your account.

2. Complete your profile

  1. Add a profile photo
  2. Add a bio / about you
  3. Add your social media url’s
  4. Request verification
We highly recommend completing your profile as soon as you sign up. This includes adding a profile picture, all your social media URLs and bio about you.

3. Apply to programs

To apply to a program, go to:

  1. Opportunities – scroll through the list of programs which are currently open for application. You can use the filters to find a category which applies to you, or sort by to find the newest, highest commission etc
  2. Apply for programs by clicking Apply for program
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions
We don’t manage who gets accepted into programs – we’re solely a technology provider, so please don’t get upset at us if you don’t get accepted into a program!

 

4. Accept invitations

If you have been invited to join a program, you will be emailed and a notification will appear in the platform. 

To accept this invitation, you’ll need to:

  1. Click My Retailers Invitations
  2. Click Accept or Deny on the invitation
Once you have accepted an invitation, your affiliate link and agreement will be emailed to you. Your affiliate link will also be generated and added to your My Links tab within the platform.

5. Find your codes and links

When you have been accepted into an affiliate program, Avelon will automatically assign your affiliate link to you. This will be sent to you via email and also be available through Dashboard > My Links

This link is to the homepage of the programs website. For example, if you have been accepted into Sigma Sports’ affiliate profile, the link will go to Sigma Sports’ homepage.

To find your links, go to:

  1. Dashboard > My Links

If the program in question offers discount codes, you will also be sent the discount code via email. It will also be available in the Promo codes tab in the menu.

To find your promo codes, go to:

  1. Dashboard > Promo codes

6. Generate your own affiliate links

You can generate affiliate links to any page on a merchants website. To generate a new link, go to:

  1. My Retailers
  2. Search for the program you want to link to
  3. Press Generate link
  4. Paste the link into the box. For example, https://www.sigmasports.com/offers/love-your-bike
  5. Name the link. For example, ‘Sigma Sports Offers – Love Your Bike’
  6. Press Generate
The link will be created in front of you and also be emailed to you. It will also be saved to your My Links tab.

7. Add your bank account to get paid

If you want to get paid for the commissions you earn, you’ll need to add your bank details with our payment system. 

To do this, go to Account > Connect bank account and follow the steps on the screen. 

You will be asked for your full name, address, bank account details and then be asked to confirm your identity.

Commission payments are processed 6-weeks after the end of the billing cycle. Please bare this in mind when completing your bank account sync, as you will not receive payments for commissions earned in the same month. 

For example, if you earn £100.00 of commission from sales in November, you will receive these payments on the 15th January.

Accessing product feeds (optional)

If you’ve signed up as an affiliate but want to access product feeds outside of our sub-network integrations, you’ll need to change your affiliate type to publisher. To do this, please email the Support Team with your request.

Once you’ve been changed to a publisher, you can access all product feeds for programs you have been approved into. Access to product feeds are available through either a simple download or through an API endpoint. 

To access the simple downloads, just head to the brands profile and click Download feed. You can also find the URL by right clicking and copying the URL address. To access our API endpoint which allows you to call feeds for programs you have been approved into, please contact the Support Team.

Reaching out to Brands

When you have completed your profile and requested verification, you will be able to start speaking to brands via our Chat function. 

The Chat function is restricted to verified affiliates or affiliates who have been accepted into a specific program. For example, if you are not verified but have been accepted into SunGod’s affiliate program, you will be able to chat with SunGod via the Chat function.
