Smart Referral Pages eliminate coupon code leaks to promo code websites and help you to track where sales actually come from. How? We use a combination of incredibly sophisticated anti-bot technology to stop bots gaining access to the page or viewing the promo code attached to the page.
Smart Referral Pages act as an intermediary page between the affiliates link and the website. They are not turned on by default – you’ll need to assign a promo code to the affiliates link in order to create a Smart Referral Page. Not to worry, though – this literally takes 2-seconds to do.
How to create a Smart Referral Page
Smart Referral Pages are automatically created when you assign a promo code to a link. Watch the below video for a guide on how to create these pages:
- Go to My Links
- Select the dropdown next to the link
- Select the promo code you’d like to add to the referral page
- Copy the link and post it to your social/website
You will only see a promo code that has already been assigned to the affiliate in the dropdown for Smart Referral Pages. If you cannot see a promo code, it means that you have not assigned a promo code to the affiliate.
Add a custom background for all pages
If you’d like to set a background for your Smart Referral Pages:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to Smart Referral Pages
- Paste the URL where the image is hosted into the box
- Press save
Add a custom background for specific pages
If you’d like to set a custom background for specific links/pages:
- Go to Links
- Click the link info icon next to the link
- Paste the URL where the image is hosted into the Smart Referral Page background box
- Press okay
This will update the background for this specific link and will not impact any other links.
To host an image, just go to Post Images, upload your image and copy the Direct link url. We recommend using an image at 16:9 (1920 x 1080) ratio. There are no restrictions on file sizes, but be aware that files larger than 2mb take a little longer to load.
Do I need to notify an affiliate that a Smart Referral Page is created?
You’ll need to notify the affiliate that you have created a Smart Referral Page for them. We recommend also notifying them that they should stop using any promo codes and convert to using links on their social media/websites instead.
