What is verification and is it mandatory?

Verification on Avelon is like verification on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and many other platforms. In short, it gives you access to a wider range of features, faster customer support and indicates to merchants that you have been verified as a high-quality user by our team.

In this guide, we'll cover the below topics:

What is verification and is it mandatory?

Verification is a little blue badge and gives you various rewards, including:

  1. Higher rankings on our recommendation algorithm
  2. Access to our inbox feature – meaning you can message any brand directly
  3. A little ‘verified badge’ – cute, we know
  4. Faster customer support

It indicates to potential partnerships that you have been manually verified by us and meet the criteria set by our team to be deemed as a ‘high quality affiliate’.

Verification is not mandatory, but we recommend requesting verification.

What do I need to get verified?

To be considered for verification, you must first have:

  1. A profile photo
  2. An about you
  3. Social media URL’s added to your account
  4. Sync’d your bank account
Once you have added the above, you can request verification.

How do I request verification?

To request verification, go to:

  1. Your profile
  2. Click Get verified
You will be sent an email with a unique code. Next:
  1. Add the code to your social media bio
  2. Respond to the email stating you have added the code
Our team will then manually check you have added the code to your account. If you have been successfully verified, you will receive an email stating you have been verified.

Can you fail verification?

Yes – you can fail verification for a variety of factors. Some of the most common are:

  1. Incorrectly linked social media account(s)
  2. Low quality profile pictures
  3. Not enough information in your about you section on your Avelon profile
  4. A private social media account that requires a ‘follow’ to view
  5. Too few followers on social media

If you fail verification, you will not be notified.

Can verification be taken away?

Yes – verification can be removed if you are deemed to break our terms and conditions.

Verification can also be removed if you change your social media URL’s in your Avelon account. You can reapply for verification right away, though.
