Tagging affiliates for data segmentation

Here’s how you tag affiliates and how you can segment their data to analyse what groups are performing the best.

Tagging an affiliate is a manual process which allows you to analyse which tag group is performing the best. You can tag affiliates with whatever tags you like and you can an unlimited amount of tags. These tags are only seen by you, the brand, not the affiliate.

To tag an affiliate, all you need to do is:

  1. Go to the affiliates profile
  2. Scroll down to Tags
  3. Enter the tag name
  4. Click Tag
The affiliate will then be tagged with that specific tag. On the first time creating a tag, you may need to wait 1-2 seconds for the tag to register. Once you have entered the tag, it will live in their tags. You can remove a tag from an affiliate by clicking the on the tag on the affiliates profile.

How can I use these tags?

You can use the tags in your Dashboard on the filter line. Simply click the tag, dropdown until you find the tag you’ve created and select the tag. The data in the data blocks will change and so will the table.

Please be aware that tag groups do not apply to the affiliate, product or traffic leaderboards.

Can I remove an affiliate from a tag group?

You can remove an affiliate from a tag group by going to the affiliates profile and clicking the ‘x’ on the tag that’s associated to them.

I removed a tag from an affiliate and my tag is no longer on the dashboard

If you have removed a tag from all affiliates in that tag group, the tag will automatically delete itself. You must have at least one affiliate in your tag group for a tag to remain in circulation.
